This is a weekly Vlog from Seeds to Life by Pastor John Dembeck that continues the discussion about prayer and the pattern of ACTS.  Pray with adoration, confession, thanksgiving, and supplication.  Adoration is sitting before the Lord and praising him for who he is and appreciating him.  Confession is agreeing with God that we have sinned and asking for his forgiveness.  Thanksgiving is giving thanks in all things.  Next week we will talk about supplication.

James tells us “we have not because we ask not.” There is this condition that we need to go to the Lord in prayer and have him move in our lives and sometime when there is nothing happening in our lives, we are possibly not praying. I encourage you to know that God is with you and talk to him through prayer. Set aside some time to talk to God this week and say “Lord I need you, I want to be close.”

God said that he is the great I AM.  How does that apply to our lives?  You can trust God with your future and have grace for your past, but to truly walk with him in the present.  He is with you in the present.  Be present in the moment today and walk with the great I AM.

What does it look like in our work to walk humbly with our God? How do we gauge how effective we are? It’s not necessarily winning the prize, it’s being faithful.

This is a bi-weekly Vlog from Seeds to Life by Pastor John Dembeck that continues to ask the question “Is Pretending OK?”  If we are talking about your imagination, then pretending is great!  If we are talking about you pretending to be someone you’re not, then you are actually a hypocrite.  I encourage you to be yourself, be genuine.  God doesn’t want you to be someone else, he loves you just the way you are.

This is a bi-weekly Vlog from Seeds to Life by Pastor John Dembeck that talks about things from your past, things that keep you from moving forward.  It doesn’t have to be that way, you can move forward by confessing your past to the Lord and he in turn forgives you.  If God forgives you, then you should forgive yourself.  This week give the things of your past to the Lord, let him cleanse you and move on with your future.

Take a look within yourself and ask this question.  If you are doing nothing by faith, take some time to reflect and step forward in faith.

These are not material things, but godly aspirations.  Then ask yourself “What are you going to do about it?”  Sometimes moving forward to what we want requires some hard work.  Ask yourself “Am I working hard towards those goals?”

There is a lot of pressure right now to express what you think, not just as an opinion, but as an argument. Many people right now are swiftly saying I think this and it becomes an argument. The bible tell us to be swift to hear and slow to speak, slow to wrath, for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God. It's the love that is going to reach people, it's the wisdom of the Lord that is going to change things in the world. I encourage you to take it all in, but be slow to speak and let God move in our land at this time.

Sometimes when we are trying to figure out where we are going, we become paralyzed trying decide what God wants us to do. God wants to take you where you need to go, he wants to guide you to a future. God will lead us there by his eye, by looking towards where we should go. This week look to the Lord to guide you to your path.
